Spanish Holiday Home

In April this year I spent a few days in Torreviaja, on the Costa Blanca in Spain. My aim was to visit a few places to look at property though my main focus was in Villa Martin, which is in San Miguel de Salinas. I have a former colleague who I became friends with, also playing for his snooker team. Brian has been living there for over 4 years now which is a significant plus for me when looking for property, knowing the things to ask and what to look for.

Within a few hours I had found what I believed to be the place for me, and after spending 6 weeks there earlier in the summer I am now certain I made the right decision. The complex is secure, kept in the most beautiful surroundings and has a generously sized swimming pool which is a real bonus as I love swimming!

I am going back out for another two weeks on 3rd September, hoping to meet a few fitness enthusiasts, and maybe one or two who would be interested in having some photos done. I believe the large pool area would make a great setting for a photo shoot, so that is something I will be hoping to accomplish at some point in the future.

Everyone I met who either lives on the complex or has a holiday home there are all lovely people and so very helpful in getting me settled. From offers of taking me shopping to taking me for clinic appointments after I suffered a bad infection, they simply couldn't do enough for you! They also recommended some great places to visit, identified the best beaches and advised on their favourite restaurants.

After going through so much following the serious injuries suffered in the car crash, this for me, is the happy end to what started as quite a difficult story. It doesn't make up for what I endured but this had been a dream for me for a number of years and I am still pinching myself to make sure it isn't a just a dream!

When I return fro holiday I will be seeking a part time job to supplement my income while continuing my photography, as I start two new modules towards my degree in October, leading in to what will be a very hectic seven months!

I changed my studies from business to an Open qualification so I can continue my interest in anatomy and physiology while also improving my Spanish language studies! It is a big ask of myself but I am determined to succeed which I know I am more than capable of...

Best wishes,

Mick Egan
